Wood burning stove with Recoheat heat recovery accessory

Turn your stove into a central heating unit

More heat for less fuel or your money back

Our unique, HETAS-approved, turbulent-air heat recovery system for domestic stoves distributes the heat from a stove across far greater areas, effectively creating a mini central heating system.

Many of our customers can heat their whole home with just their stove, thanks to their Recoheat. We can't guarantee you'll achieve that because it depends on the size and layout of your house, and the size of your stove - but we can guarantee that you will always get much more heat for less fuel than without it. Just check our reviews to find out the difference it's making to our customers' homes.

The Revolutionary Energy Efficient Heat Recovery System

Harnessing turbulent air

A Recoheat unit comprises a heat exchange coil mounted inside your flue, just above the top of the stove. It is connected to an electric air pump that forces air through the heat exchange where it is super-heated, expands, accelerates and shoots out of the unit in a turbulent jet that transforms the heat output and distribution of your stove.

The heat exchange unit recovers an extra 1kw of heat from the flue, starts pumping it as soon as the fire is lit, and continues pumping it for hours after you stop refuelling and the stove cools. It will effectively double the heat distribution of your existing wood burner or solid fuel stove because you'll benefit from more heat, for longer, using less fuel .

The units can be fitted from new to freestanding stoves, or retro-fitted to most top and rear flues as remedial work.

If you want to increase the heat from your woodburning or solid fuel stove, get a Recoheat.

MORE HEAT - LESS FUEL - LESS CO2

Your stove needs to put lots of heat into the flue to make the smoke rise, but a proportion of that is always wasted. Recoheat recovers some of the lost heat and returns it into your home, exploiting a phenomenon known as the turbulent boundary layer effect to transfer heat with astonishing efficiency into the pressurised airflow.  With a typical heat output measured in the exit pipe at around 400°C, the 60 litres per minute air pump we supply forces the hot air into your room at high temperature and in a turbulent airflow that warms the whole room by increasing the heat transfer area as the jet of heated air draws the heat of the stove behind it and the the flow of air oscillates in front of the stove so that it mixes hot and cold to heat the room from floor to ceiling.

And it's done with incredible efficiency - all on a power use of 17 Watts (the running power usage of our standard air pump). That's less than an old-fashioned light bulb!

Recoheat really is the best accessory for wood burning stoves on the market, increasing the heat output and distribution, and reducing fuel costs by an incredible amount because the stove heat circulates via the pump rather than by convection - spreading the heat as soon as the fire is lit and for many hours after you stop refuelling and the stove begins to cool. Without the Recoheat, convection flows drop away sharply on a cooling stove, so all the heat in the stove is lost up the chimney. With the Recoheat, heat continues to pump for as long as there is heat in the embers. Don't take our word for it - see what our customers say. Your fire is the heart of your home - reclaim the flame with Recoheat!

THE REVOLUTIONARY ENERGY-EFFICIENT HEAT RECOVERY SYSTEM FOR YOUR MULTI FUEL STOVE

Recoheat is a small company in the UK and we've been selling our units for use in the home since November 2020. We received HEATS approval in 2025 as a reassuring endorsement to UK customers and professionals. We now have customers all over the world including Canada and the United States where the extreme temperatures have allowed us to really see how effectively the system works. From a yurt outside Ontario to a mountain cabin in California with two metres of snow, and a shipping container office in Nova Scotia, we've transformed the output and length of time heat circulates in some really, really cold conditions!

The independent reviews we get on Google and external sites (who we can't mention without paying them large fees - to quote our own customers!) and social media platforms have been an enormous help in showing people that our product is genuine and the benefits are potentially enormous. A significant proportion of our customers now use their stove with Recoheat as their central heating system, having previously only heated one room. The financial and environmental benefits of that are obviously huge, and we love hearing how much we're helping to heat homes and change the world! Do take a look at our reviews on the website and on the web.

RECOHEAT BENEFITS

Heated air is the most efficient way of circulating heat. The heat from a stove is radiated heat that only feels warm when you are directly in front of it, and convection relies on a flow of cold air towards the combustion chamber, that makes your room draughty.
Recoheat pumps heated turbulent air away from the stove which mixes hot and cold air together in a roiling, stirring flow that warms the air in the entire room as the hot and cold air mixes. This heats floor to ceiling five times faster than normal according to engineering studies conducted by external experts. This increase in the volume of warmed air then increases the convection from the room so that it moves heat out of the room and into other areas of the home, leaving you warm and toasty.

INCREDIBLE PERFORMANCE, EASY TO FIT

HETAS-approved, safe, simple, clean AND it retrofits to most existing flues with relative ease. The reclaimed heat is pumped into your room within seconds of lighting the fire, and the warm air is circulated around your room and into the rest of the house so that the whole area is warmed. The unique design continues recovering and pumping heat for hours after the stove has cooled, reducing the amount of fuel you use, and the amount of time you refuel for.

This multi fuel stove accessory will make your stove a high efficiency heat source using nothing more than an air pump - it's the most eco-friendly wood burning stove accessory on the market. Our Recoheat heat recovery units are built to UKCA and CE standards and can be installed in full compliance with Building Regulations by a registered chimney sweep or stove installer under the regulations for maintenance and remedial work on a stove appliance.

"Gamechanger.
Heat distribution from the living room to house… magnificent.
There is some white noise of the air pumping out but you get used to that .
The constant supply of hot air (for free!) works.. "
