At the end of February 2022, we attended our first trade show - Sweep Stuff Live, run by the Guild of Master Chimney Sweeps.
As an organisation, the Guild couldn't have been more welcoming and supportive. They were really interested in the product even before we got there, and phoned us to talk about it. We'd been given an introduction by a couple of their members, which makes everything a different conversation when you're new.
Sam Hamer, at Stove Industry Supplies, adapted one of their Hamer 5kw stoves for us, to run on bio ethanol. That meant we could actually show the Recoheat in action, and have people feel the output. Wow, what a difference that makes!
All the visitors to the show were sweeps, installers and stove retailers, so we couldn't have had a more knowledgeable audience. The Guild put us just inside the door of the main hall, so people could feel the heat as they walked in. They all know that a stove doesn't push heat that far - and that we couldn't have a stove running on anything burning wood or coal - so people came over just to see how we were managing it, and were amazed. It really was fantastic.
We're really grateful to the Guild for their support, and look forward to other shows later in the year - because we had a lot of fun and put our relationship with our key partners on a completely different level.
